Construction of「Hsinchuang Stadium Taipei County」

I. Foreword

Before formal organization in 1998：called as "Hsinchuang Integrated Stadium" or "Sport Park"
Since formal organization in 1998：titled as "Hsinchuang Stadium Taipei County"
Before construction：The site, the land of 22 hectares enclosed by FuHsing Rd. Section I on north, ChiangHua Rd. Section 1 on east, Park Rd. on south, and Hohsing St. , also parallel to HsinTai Rd. on west, was housed by American Army Radio Station, and full of low lying farms and fish ponds, as well as some fishing courts in other parts.

II. History

Jan. 20th, 1973：zoned as "Park Site" when announcement of city plan
1983：During public facility re-discussion, community residents proposed half of the land for green space and the other half for commercial and residential area.
1986：For Taiwan Area Sport Game, local people expected the half for sport filed and the other half for residential use
1991：For urgent needs of park and sport area of Hsinchuang residents, the land of 22 hectares was zoned as "Park Site"by Taiwan Provincial Urban Planning Committee's resolution
May, 1992：Land acquisition was announced
June, 1992：Land acquisition was proceeded with total capital of NTD 13,600,000,000, with subsidy of NTD 11,800,000,000 by central government, and co-collection for other NTD 1,800,000,000 by Taipei County and Hsinchuang City governments
Oct. 1992：Design and planning was authorized
Dec. 1993：The first stage construction
Sep. 1995：The second stage construction
July 1996：The third stage construction, including baseball field, athletic field, tennis court, basketball court, dancing classroom, and gymnasium building
1998："Hsinchuang Stadium Taipei County" was formally organized with one president, one staff, and two janitors, and reported by Taipei County Government for approval of Examination Yuan and then the staff was increased to five person in 2000.
Aug. 4th, 1999：「Hsinchuang Stadium, Taipei County and underground parking lot」started construction
Apr. 28th, 2001：National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and Taipei County Government co-organized the first sport and leisure promotion center in the stadium to work for all-national sport affairs
Apr. 4th, 2002：「Hsinchuang Stadium, Taipei County and underground parking lot」was completed. The multi-functional stadium with total area of 10,928 m2 can be used for large sport competition, singing performance, concert, and assembly or ceremony.
Dec. 25th, 2002：Constructing project of outfield viewing platform of Hsinchuang Baseball Field, Taipei County began with total funds of NTD 49,420,000. Project was finished on Aug. 31st, 2003.
May. 9th, 2003：Constructing project of full color LED screen of Hsinchuang Baseball Field, Taipei County began with total funds of NTD 28,730,000. Project was finished on Aug. 30th, 2003.
Aug. 1st, 2003：Constructing project of outfield viewing platform seats of Hsinchuang Baseball Field, Taipei County began with total funds of NTD 6,830,000. Project was finished on Aug. 31st, 2003.
Oct. 5th, 2003：Constructing projects of outfield viewing platform, full color LED screen, and outfield viewing platform seats of Hsinchuang Baseball Field, Taipei County were finished and began using.
Dec. 6th, 2003：Scene improving project of central water canal of avenue began. Project was finished and checked on Dec. 31st, 2003.
Oct. 20th, 2005：Constructing of infield viewing platform of second floor of Hsinchuang Baseball Field, Taipei County finished.
Nov. 30th, 2005：Maintenance of rain protecting membrane of athletic field of Hsinchuang Stadium finished. (Sabotaged by typhoon Talim)
Dec. 22nd, 2005：Constructing of infield viewing platform seats of second floor of Hsinchuang Baseball Field, Taipei County finished.
